What Data We Collect

Website visits

We use GoatCounter for website analytics. GoatCounter does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track individual users across sessions. It records page views, referrers, browser type, and screen size in aggregate only. GoatCounter's privacy policy.

Waitlist signups

When you join our waitlist, we collect:

  • Email address — to notify you when ConsentTrail launches
  • Page source — which page you signed up from (automatically recorded)

We do not collect your name, IP address, or any other personal information through the waitlist form.

Free tools

Our free tools (PECR Compliance Checker, Fine Calculator, Consent Wording Checker) run entirely in your browser. No data you enter into these tools is sent to our servers or stored by us. All processing happens client-side.

How We Use Your Data

  • Waitlist emails: Used solely to send you product launch notifications. We will not send marketing emails beyond launch-related updates.
  • Analytics: Used to understand which content is useful and how visitors find our site. No personal data is involved.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process waitlist email addresses based on your consent (you actively submitted the form). You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us to request removal.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties. Waitlist data is stored on Netlify's infrastructure (see Netlify's privacy policy).

Data Retention

Waitlist email addresses are retained until the product launches and you either convert to a customer or we delete the waitlist data. If you request removal, we delete your email within 7 days.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk)
